ROSE

Rose:   I would like to donate a lovely 23 year old AQHA mare to the right home.
With regular ridng, Rose is pretty much a school master. Her history is
as a Pony Club horse for Wasatch and Gambel Oak pony clubs taking riders
from unrated to C3.  She loves to jump and is very uncomplicated, but I
think only low jumps would be appropriate due to her age and related
issues. Rose loves to be used for lessons in the arena and again, is very
uncomplicated. I would not recommend her for beginning horse owners or
riders. Without regular riding, she can get a bit much for a beginner. She
is great on the trail when ridden regularly.  Rose wants a job and wants
to be ridden. My daughter is in college and Rose is not happy just sitting
in a corral.

Rose is what I would call serviceably sound. She gets sore on the front in
the summer without bar shoes. She has very thin soles and shows heel pain
with testers although the vet blocked both front feet and concluded she
does not have navicular. She goes without shoes in the winter and does
fine. There is also a creaking noise coming from her hock area but she is
not lame there and the vet does not really know the cause. I gave her a
shot of Adequan but did not notice a change.

If someone is interested, I would like some lead time to get her shoes,
shots and teeth done. See attached photos from a Pony Club rally a few
years back.  Thanks!

I’m interested in Rose for my granddaughter. We were the second owners of Rilita Rose. My daughter used her in 4-H and Pony Club. We love her.
